Dogs

I'm borrowing my dad's nice SLR camera (SOOOO want one of my own!) and have been a picture taking fool!  (Explains all the pictures of my nephew!)  This morning I decided to make the dogs my subjects and thought I'd share them!

Trying to lick the camera!!

Queen of the col-de-sac!

Mollie giving her sissy kisses!

My baby's getting big!  50 lbs!

No mischief in these eyes at all!! haha

Hola Espanol and Auntie Jen in Photos!

Here are classroom pictures and nephew Austin pictures, as promised!

My classroom from my desk, the door to the hallway is on the right.

Room from the doorway.  My desk in the corner with a window that looks at the playground! :)

Another view from the door.  The door in the photo goes into the band room.

Paper up!  Went for the multi-colored theme.  (Taken from the doorway)

Notice the purple by the desk!  Going to be some KSU things over there for sure!!
Also, curtains left by the previous teacher.

I still have a work to do.  The back wall is bulletin board and will be covered in green (I think...).  I also need to put up bordes, but it's coming along!

John got the camera out and Austin decided he could care less about his bottle, he wanted to smile!  (Even if it meant his formula would spew out of his mouth!!)

Are these not the most precious faces ever?!

Happy boy getting his diaper changed! :)

I want Aunt Jen!
Not really, probably just wanting the camera! :)

LOVES the camera!!

!Hola Espanol!

I just realized I've haven't officially blogged this yet..

I GOT A JOB!!

SO excited about this opportunity!  I'll be teaching Spanish (yes SPANISH!) at an elementary school in Olathe.  Not my first choice, but who can have their first choice in this economy??

My 4 years of Spanish are slowly coming back to me from high school.  My mom's very concerend the little hispanic kiddos are going to out-talk me which very well could be the case!!

I've been up to my room twice.  The first time I was a little overwhelemed.  The teacher there before be left WAY more stuff than I was expecting.  So not much got done the first trip.  I went back up yesterday and got much more accomplished.  Filled a trashbag full of stuff that I just didn't need, scratch that, want!  Also filled a bucket of paper for the recycle.  But more importantly, got one whole wall of paper hung on the wall of bulletin board!  It needs border still, and stuff actually on the walls! :)

I'll post pictures of my room soon.  I'm being Auntie Jen and watching Austin (who's not so little anymore!) so I'll have to post the picts when I get home.  I'll through some in of the big man that we took today!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!

Casa de Schulte/Summer at the Lake!

We just got back yesterday from almost a full week at my IL's lake house on Lake of the Ozarks.  We had a group of friends down for a weekend in June, came home for the week so John could finish summer school, had another group of friends down for the 4th, then we stayed for the week.  Summers just would not be the same without spending a few weekends down there.  We had a great time floating, boating, jet-skiing, and shooting off some fireworks.  In order to not make this the longest post known to man-kind, I'll let the photos do all the talking (or typing).

Coved out the first weekend, floatin

My little swimmer floatin

Jet skiing

Second weekend: Playing Red-Neck Golf

Relaxing in the hammock.

After everyone left, John and I stayed just the 2 of us (and the 2 dogs).  We had two "date nights" while on vacation:
date night 1, Toy Story 3
After date night...fish and fireworks

More of Mollie swimming.  She's getting the fetch concept now!

Out to lunch at Jolly Rogers!

The marvelous boat driver!

date night 2: Dinner at Capitan Ron's

The weather wasn't fantastic while it was just the 2 of us, rainy in the morning, then cloudy tell after lunch, then sunny.  I had thought I'd last for a lot longer than I did.  We got down on a Friday, and by Wednesday afternoon I was ready to come home.  Overall though, it was a great week!  Topped off by the job offer I was given on Tuesday!  YAHOO!!  I will be teaching Spanish at one of the elementary schools in Olathe!
