Why worry?

Thanks to a fellow Blogger for this...

Philipians 4:6-7

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will expereince God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guide your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

And one of my favorites that was read at our wedding...

Matthe 6:25-27

Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life; what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is life not more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Sometimes the hardest thing we can do it let go and let God when really it should be the easiest thing we do.

Cutest Nephew Ever!

Intorducing Austin Edward Salzman

Winner of the cutest nephew ever award!!

I'm a little obsessed with my first nephew. But who can blame me? He's such a cutie!

Monday evening we got a call from John's mom that said his sister wanted us to come up to see her before the baby was born. She had been induced that morning so we had been playing the waiting game ALL day! We got to the hospital around 8:00 pm and she was doing great! She looked awesome and was feeling well (thanks epidural!). We stuck around thinking the baby would come soon.

Midnight rolled around and still no baby and not a whole lot of progress. We discussed taking the morning off school so we could stay for baby, but John couldn't find a suitable sub. So weaited tell about 12:45 then decided since there was little/no progress we'd head home. Needless to say, I was not very happy as I wanted to stay for the birth. But when it was 4:15 am and we hadn't heard anything, I realized it was probably a good idea we didn't stay! After a prodding from me, John's dad finally told us that it was a boy! We were so excited it was hard to go back to bed...we were so tired though that we both did!

I was ready to walk out the door at 4:00 the next day to go meet out nephew. After a stop at Baby's R Us (dangerous place for an excited aunt/uncle), we FINALLY made it to the hospital. He is THE cutest thing ever! I can't wait to get to hold him again soon!! Here are some more pictures of precious baby Austin!

Tic-Tock Tic-Tock

And we wait...
and wait...
and wait!

John's sister was due with the first grandchild of the family on Friday. We've been looking forward to being an aunt and uncle since June. It is now Monday and we're STILL waiting!

Luckily, there is an end in sight! The mommy and daddy to-be were checked into the hospital this morning for a scheduled induction. She was having some contractions last night/this morning. They broke her water around noon and the last we heard, she was about 1/3 the way there but getting really tired.

And now for the bad news...after 8:30 pm, the only visitors allowed are the new grandparents. That means Aunt Jen and Uncle John can't come see the baby tell tomorrow. At this point, that's what it looks like it's going to be. We haven't had an update for a couple of hours, but if baby doesn't come in the next hour or so, we'll have to wait. :(

I can't wait to hold my new niece or nephew! The baby will be SO spoiled by its aunt and uncle!!

In other news, we've had a WONDERFUL long weekend! Although, I can't quite remember where the weekend has gone, it's been very relaxing. I do know that my parents came down on Friday night to celebrate my dad and John's birthdays. Saturday night was spent at a bar and grill to celebrate John birthday with friends. Sunday night, Valentine's day, was spent at Buca de Bepo for dinner. This year we were smart enough to actually make reservations which was nice. Although, the table we waited 2 hours for last year was MUCH better then the tiny, crowded table we had last night. Oh well, we still enjoyed our night out. Today has been spent thinking about the new parents-to-be and jumping EVERY time John's phone makes a noise. (Which is all the time because he gets so much junk e-mail sent to his phone!)

Unfortunetly, tomorrow means school again. I have 4 weeks left in this job and then it's back to day-to-day. I'm going to miss these kids SO much! Well, off to find something to occupy the rest of my afternoon...trying to keep my mind of the baby!!!

Pup For Sale

Miniature Dachshund

Red Coloring

3 1/2 years old

Free to a good home!

John and I decided that since we didn't have any food in the house for dinner, we'd run to Sonic to grab a bite to eat. We had been watching a movie on ABC Family (The Parent Trap) and Aggie was so cute and content on the couch that we decided we'd leave her out while we went. We knew we wouldn't be gone for too long anyway.
BIG MISTAKE!!!
Spring Hill Sonic is not the quickest of places so it took us a little longer than expected. We got home and laid our food out on the coffee table to eat and watch the movie. Good thing I looked before I sat...the dog must have really freaked out because there was piss EVERYWHERE! On the throw pillow, on the seat cushion, on the back of the couch, on the loveseat throw pillows (both), on the loveseat cushions (both), under the loveseat cushion, and on the floor.
Not even kidding.
Needless to say, she is banned from the furniture for the time being, which is going to really cramp her style!
So, if anyone is looking for a rascal of a dog, they may have her! But, only for like 25 minutes, then I'll realize how much I love her and want her back. Needless to say, the next dog we get will be one that can be potty-trained!!
