While John is at his last day of school with kids, I've stayed home today to "clean". Ha ha! I've gotten SO much done! Actually I've spent most of the morning on the computer messing with my new layout. I also signed myself up so I can email posts to my blog, which I'm doing now! So we'll see how it works.
I guess I should probably get some lunch and actually start cleaning...hopefully lunch brings some motivation!!! I'd love to be able to work outside or go to the dog park this weekend since its going to be so beautiful!!
Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

Puppy Preschool
We had our Parent Orientation for Mollie's Puppy Preshool last night. We were pretty anxious about what was ahead of us and are glad to be getting started with preschool. The night went well. It looks like there will be around 15 puppies in Mollie's class--we're glad we are not in the later class, it was packed! Mollie was close to the cut-off for the puppy class so she'll probably be the oldest.
Our teacher went over the things that we are going to be learning and what to expect. We also learned our first command! The "Watch Me!" command. Of course our teacher's dog can do it without thinking and set the bar high for our girls! But we practiced last night and I've been practicing today and they seem to get it. Of course they really just want the Cheerio that I'm holding but hey, you have to start somewhere!!
We hadn't thought about teaching Aggie the things we're learning with Mollie. But last night we realized it was not going to fly with her that Mollie got a bunch of Cheerios and she didn't. So Aggie's going to learn at home what Mollie, John and I are learning in class. She seems to be doing well with the "Watch Me!" command as well so we're starting off right!!
We're looking forward to the next 5 weeks of class and hoping that Mollie (and Aggie!) will learn a lot. I will try to keep you updated on how it goes!!

Dallas!
We made it home after a long drive and shortish stay in Denton, TX. My sister graduated on Friday from North Texas with her Master's degree. We were so excited that we were going to be able to make the trip down to see her get her degree. She also just bought a house in Denton and so we got to see that too! We are so very proud of her and all of he recent accomplishments.
We drove down Thursday afternoon, took the longer, windy route there but it worked out ok. Got in around 10 Thursday night and didn't hang out for too long before we called it a night. Megan's gradution was on Friday afternoon, so we spent the morning getting the last of some boxes unpacked in her new house then headed for the ceremony (in the rain!). Luckily the weather shaped up during the ceremony because Megan had planned a BBQ for afterwards for friends. Her new patio and patio set worked perfect for the backyard BBQ.
Saturday morning was spent doing some more things around the house and in the yard. Then ate lunch/snack at Yogurt Story. Best ice-cream place ever! We headed into Dallas (Denton is a suburb on the north side of Dallas) to go to the 6th Floor Museum. It's the School Book Depository where Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK. They've made the 6th floor into a museum with all sorts of neat things about Kennedy, Oswald, and what happened that day and the days/years to follow. I learned alot and am so glad we were able to go! Then we went to dinner at my mom's favorite resteraunt "in the whole world", Javiers. "Mexican" food, but it wasn't your typical, Jose Peppers stuff! Delicious though!
This morning we woke up at the crack of dawn (or so it felt!) and headed home. The trip home went a bit faster since we took the interstate the whole way. We were still glad to get home and get our puppies!
Thanks to my ILs and Megan and Chris we were able to make the trip sans the 2 dogs. Even though Mollie wasn't the best host guest, she had a blast playing with Scout. Aggie enjoyed having some alone time with her grandparents and I know she really loved being spoiled by them!!
We have our "parent intro class" for Mollie tomorrow night. We're anxious to get her started in her Puppy Kindergarten classes! Especially to see if we can get any tips for potty training! :)
John's wrapping up his last week of school this week. The kids have a half day on Friday and then he just has to go back on Monday then HELLO SUMMER!! I'm babysitting my nephew this Monday and Tuesday again, then just next Monday and HELLO SUMMER for me!! I'm still not too sure what I'm going to do this summer...go to the pool all day?? Looking for some babysitting jobs possibly, still a tiny chance for summer school too. John's doing summer school which is 5 weeks, 4 days a week, just in the mornings. Lucky dog!
We're excited for many lake trips this summer, including over Memorial Day Weekend for a little bit. Here are some pictures from recently! Enjoy and have a FANTASTIC week!
ps-Megan I think I fixed my comments. Let me know if it's still not working!

Wow! I'm Behind!!
**As written on Thursday, May 6th during the 2nd showing of "CJ In Concert" while subbing in a music class.**
I turned 23 yesterday. It sounds so old!! Of course I say that around John's friends and they just laugh--they're 26/27. It was a perfect day for a birthday! I decided I didn't want to work with a bunch of strangers on my birthday so I didn't take a job. The weather was beautiful! I couldn't have ordered it any better. I got breakfast in bed then went to Jazzercise. After that I went to get a manicure. I met my mom at their office in Bonner Springs for lunch. One of her co-workers' moms owns a Bed & Breakfast just down the street, so we got take-out Chinese and ate outside the B&B overlooking a cute little pond. It was the perfect birthday lunch! It is Nurse Appreciation week and there was a masseuse at my mom's office and she was able to squeeze me in!! :) It was wonderful!!
After lunch I wen to get my very own Costco card!! My in-laws got me a membership for my birthday. I was pretty excited. :) Made my first purchase too (toilet paper)! I even had time to put my new Victoria's Secret bathing suit top on and read my Cosmo outside for a little bit! We had dinner at Jose Peppers with friends. Overall, it was a fantastic birthday!
In other news, I started watching my nephew this week on Mondays and Tuesdays. He is the cutest thing! He's started smiling and cooing--his happiness is so contagious! John and I were also asked to be Austin's Godparents! He is getting baptized this weekend and we are so excited to be able to play such a special role.
Mollie went to the vet last week and has gained 10 pounds! 34 pounds now and growing everyday! She's starting to do better with potty training...most days. The problem is she knows to go outside and even where the door is, but that's in the basement and we don't always see her go to it--whoops! But she has gotten better at not going in her crate during the day which is nice! She's also slowly getting better about keeping her paws on the floor! :) She starts puppy school in a couple of weeks--I'm very excited for her to learn some things! I'll try to post some pictures soon!!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a good start to the week. We head to Dallas this weekend for Megan's graduation and to see her house!
